Randell
Burton Architects was established in 2005 by the merger of two
practices with over 30 years of experience. The new practice
created from David Randell Architects (established in Tiverton in 1979) and The Leslie Burton
Partnership (established in Chipping Norton in 1991) has successfully provided a varied service to both private
and local authority and commercial clients.
Not only has the practice been involved in
domestic architecture ranging from small to large extensions but it has
a wide experience in works to traditional and vernacular buildings.
Work on Grade I, II* and Grade II buildings is continually a part of
the practice, as are barn conversions and refurbishments. The
practice is also a member of ASBA, a self-build organisation which
provides a service to those wishing to build their own homes either on
green field sites or by conversion and/or extension.
Other projects have
involved
works
to large and small hotels, to public houses, new factories and
extensions, offices and shops. Success in planning appeals and on
difficult sites has established a reputation second to none. Works
to sheltered housing and the disabled has also been successfully
undertaken.
Leslie Burton and
David Randell are full members of the Royal Institute of British
Architects and are resistered with the Architects Registration Board. The Practice
is also a Registered Practice with the RIBA and maintains full
Professional Indemnity Insurance. Recently the practice was
commissioned as Listed Building advisors to a local authority.
All the technical staff undertakes continuous professional development and are encouraged to continue with their own
development and membership of various consultancy bodies.
